Entrepreneurialism

In April of this year, leaders of Seattle area nonprofits spent a day together considering ideas about "Building the Entrepreneurial Nonprofit." Now the conference proceedings are online at http://www.nwforum.org/nonprofit Ed Skloot, President of the Surdna Foundation, gave the lunchtime keynote; the complete text of his talk is at the site.

Planning for the conference included an online survey of visitors' thoughts on several related topics; the new website includes a summary of responses and comments. There are also links to other long-standing online resources on entrepreneurialism in the nonprofit sector.


The Council of Better Business Bureaus is collecting comments on a series of questions as part of its ongoing review of the standards used by the Philanthropic Advisory Service in reviewing nonprofits on behalf of donors.

The number and variety of options concerning online fundraising continues to grow rapidly. The listing begun in August of 1999 with about 40 entries now has well over 100.
